Our Work

The Vishal & Helena Dadoo Foundation exclusively devoted to philanthropic endeavors, particularly to instigate transformation and collaborate with nearby communities to assist at-risk children and families in realizing swift and enduring improvements in their lives. We will be residing and functioning in the DC Metro area, fully aware of the daily difficulties that many families encounter. We are determined to introduce solutions and actively contribute to the alleviation of poverty among children and families. Our past events and contributions since 2021 include the following:

  • December 2021: During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foundation provided nourishing food donations to the local McLean Church, delivering hope and relief to families most affected by the crisis.
  • September 2022: Partnering with the Guru Gobind Singh Foundation, we conducted a School Supply Drive, donating over 250 backpacks filled with essential supplies to students across four Maryland schools, easing educational barriers for many families.
  • Between 2023 and 2025, the Foundation successfully executed the following initiatives to provide direct aid to vulnerable populations:
    • Warmth for the Holidays Drive: Distributed sturdy wool blankets to homeless shelters and individuals living on the streets, providing vital warmth during harsh winter months.
    • Winter Necessities Packages: Assembled and delivered packages containing hygiene products, clothing, and food to homeless shelters and those in need throughout the DC area.
    • Nutrition Assistance: Prepared and distributed nutritious bag lunches—including sandwiches, snacks, and beverages—to local homeless shelters and individuals facing food insecurity.

Looking Ahead

Building on these impactful programs, the Foundation plans to expand its reach and deepen its support through new initiatives focused on education, empowerment, and community partnership. All programs will continue to be managed voluntarily by our dedicated officers and directors, with promotion through personal networks and the Foundation's website. Activities will take place both at our business location and in communities where assistance is needed most.

Through these sustained efforts, the Vishal & Helena Dadoo Foundation strives to create swift and enduring improvements in the lives of children and families, fulfilling its charitable mission with compassion and commitment.
